Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education (MGNCRE)

Under the guidance of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Loreto College, Kolkata, has established a Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education (MGNCRE) Cell. This initiative, acknowledged by the Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education, aims to enhance conditions in sanitation, hygiene, energy conservation, water management, and waste management, both on campus and within the surrounding community. Additionally, it seeks to foster rural entrepreneurship and social engagement among students.

The MGNCRE programs are designed to inspire, guide, and support students in realizing their entrepreneurial aspirations. Students will be encouraged to present their innovative ideas under the mentorship of the College's MGNCRE Cell. The Cell will implement programs as directed by MGNCRE and will organize events to commemorate significant occasions, fostering self-confidence, a shared heritage, and a sense of institutional and national pride among students. Additionally, the Cell will conduct awareness campaigns, workshops, and seminars to promote environmental consciousness and community involvement.
