ANNOUNCEMENTS
Loreto College was chosen by West Bengal Pollution Board for installing the Air and Noise Quality Sensor device. It was installed with solar back-up and an electronic monitor on September 18, 2023. This device detects the concentration of pollutants such as particulate matter, gases and volatile organic compounds in air and also captures noise levels and patterns in the environment. The monitor displays the Air Quality Index and information about key weather parameters and intensity of noise. The data is received by the West Bengal Pollution Control Board on a real time basis and it helps them to control the quality of air and noise.
