Session on Auckland University of Technology and Global Reach
Dr. Suranjana Mitra, Associate Professor in the Department of Economics, Loreto College, Kolkata, attended a session on Auckland University of Technology (AUT) and Global Reach at Park Hotel on December 1, 2024. The Pro Vice Chancellor of Auckland University of Technology, Prof. Guy Littlefair, was the speaker for the session. He initiated his discussion by highlighting the reasons behind choosing New Zealand as the destination for higher studies. He helped the participants of the session to explore the plethora of subjects offered by AUT. A comparative appraisal was made to help the participants identify the probable challenges faced by students in other countries and the advantages of studying in New Zealand. He threw light on the key benefits of studying in AUT, such as scholarship opportunities, a diverse and inclusive campus, strong industry connections, a modern and innovative learning environment, and many more. Possibilities of MoUs, faculty exchange programmes, and online internships were discussed at length during the interactive session.
