Freshers' Welcome 2024
The Freshers’ Welcome Programme was held on September 25, 2024 at Loreto College, Kolkata, with the objective of integrating new students into the college community and instilling a sense of belonging and camaraderie. It was an ice-breaking event organised by the Student Council of the college.
The occasion was graced by the presence of the Teacher-in-Charge Sr. Dr. A. Nirmala and faculty members Dr. Anindita Bandyopadhyay and Dr. Debasree Sinha. Sr. Nirmala led the gathering in prayer and extended a warm welcome to the Semester I students, emphasising the institution’s values and history of academic excellence.
The new students showcased their diverse talents through dance, music, and drama performances that captivated the audience. The beats of music reverberated through the campus, and the colourful attire of the attendees added to the festive ambience. This cultural expression of togetherness truly highlighted the rich tapestry of traditions and talents that defines the campus life of Loreto College.
The jamming session at the end was the perfect conclusion to an eventful day, where both new and seasoned students let loose, danced, and celebrated a new beginning. The infectious energy and lively beats ensured that Fresher’s Welcome 2024 ended on a high note.
