An Author's Afternoon with Dr. Rakhshanda Jalil

On July 5, 2024, Prabha Khaitan Foundation hosted an Author’s Afternoon with the distinguished Dr. Rakhshanda Jalil at Taj Bengal, Kolkata. The event brought together literary enthusiasts, scholars, and students for an enlightening session and was attended by student members of the Library Society of Loreto College, Kolkata.

Dr. Jalil captivated the audience with her profound insights into Urdu literature, tracing its historical evolution and cultural significance. Her eloquent discussion of partition studies highlighted the complex narratives and human experiences that have shaped South Asian literature.

Dr. Jalil’s words resonated with the attending students, sparking a newfound interest in partition studies, the Urdu language, and literature as a whole.
