Through the Lens - The Library Chronicles
An Interdepartmental Library Photography Competition was successfully conducted by the Library Society of Loreto College, Kolkata on November 14, 2024, showcasing the creative talents of participants across various departments. The event successfully fostered artistic expression and enthusiasm, setting the stage for future creative initiatives.
Participants explored diverse sub-themes such as Silent Corners, capturing serene study spots; Architectural Beauty, focusing on the library's intricate design; Books and Knowledge, symbolising learning through exploration of the shelves and books; and Light and Shadows, playing with lighting effects to create impactful visuals.
The event encouraged participants to develop visual storytelling and digital skills, fostering essential competencies for today's digital era. By creating a fun and engaging activity, the competition strengthened community involvement with the library, inviting both regular and occasional patrons to explore its offerings in new and creative ways.
