ConQuest - East Regional Round

ConQuest, an initiative by the Centre for Law and Policy Research (CLPR), is a renowned annual inter-college quiz competition aimed at fostering awareness of constitutional law and policy among students. The East Regional Round of the 8th edition of ConQuest was held on November 16, 2024 at Loreto College, Kolkata and saw enthusiastic participation from various institutions.

The event featured two engaging rounds. The Preliminary Round tested all registered teams, with the Quiz Master presenting challenging questions. Teams with the highest scores advanced to the East Regional Final, where the competition grew even more intense. Participants displayed remarkable knowledge, teamwork, and quick thinking throughout the event.

After the regional round concluded, the Chief Guest, Dr. Sujata Chowdhury, shared her valuable insights on the importance of such initiatives in encouraging intellectual growth and legal awareness. She also presented prizes to the winning teams, acknowledging their excellence. The event concluded with heartfelt remarks by Sr. Dr. A. Nirmala, the Teacher-in-Charge of Loreto College, who commended the participants and organisers for their dedication. Sr. Nirmala also distributed awards to the winners, bringing the successful event to a close.

ConQuest exemplified the power of academic competitions in fostering inquiry, critical thinking, and camaraderie among students and focused on the importance of the Constitution and constitutional awareness.
