Annual Sports Day 2024
The Loreto College Annual Sports Day, organised by the Games Society and held on November 23, 2024 at the St. Xavier’s Collegiate School Ground (Primary Section), was an exhilarating display of athleticism and team spirit, drawing an enthusiastic crowd of students, faculty, alumni, and parents. The event was marked by the presence of eminent guests: Chief Guest Ms. Madhu Kumari, International Basketball Player; Father Roshan Tirkey, Principal, St. Xaviers’s Collegiate School, Kolkata; Sr. Powlin, Community Leader and Secretary to the Loreto House Education Society; Mr. Soumitra Chowdhury, ex-basketball player and coach; and Sr. Dr. A. Nirmala, Teacher in Charge, Loreto College.
The Annual Sports Day was a resounding success, bringing together students, faculty, and staff for a day of athleticism, camaraderie, and celebration. The event featured a wide range of sporting activities, including track and field, team games, and indoor competitions, with participants showcasing their skills and teamwork. The day was marked by enthusiastic participation and competitive spirit, with the winners receiving medals and certificates.
