National Sports Day 2024

The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of Loreto College, Kolkata, in collaboration with the Games Society, organised a Sports Day event to celebrate National Sports Day with great enthusiasm and zeal on August 29, 2024. The children of Bal Shiksha Sadan School were invited to participate in this event. They were thrilled to engage in various sports activities, including Flat Race, Pass the Balloon, Marble and Spoon Race, Finish the Biscuit Race, and Mixed Relay. The college volunteers ensured a smooth and enjoyable experience for the young participants. The children showcased their talent and energy, competing in teams and as individuals.

The event aimed to promote sports and physical fitness among children from disadvantaged backgrounds. There were prizes for all the participants along with special gifts for the winners. The children left with big smiles, carrying memories of a fun-filled day. Through this event, the volunteers honed essential skills such as teamwork, communication, and leadership, which will benefit them in their future endeavours. Moreover, they gained a profound appreciation for community service and its transformative impact on young lives, which fostered a sense of social responsibility and empathy.
