Farewell Programme for Sr. Molly

On April 25, 2024, the students of the Department of B.Ed., Loreto College, Kolkata organised a farewell programme for Sr. Molly. The Acting Teacher-in-Charge Sr. Dr. A. Nirmala, Sr. Antoinette, Sr. Powlin, the Head of the Department Dr. Kaustuva Banerjee, and the professors of the department were invited to the programme.

The programme began with the lighting of the lamp by Sr. Nirmala, Sr. Antoinette, Sr. Powlin, and Sr. Molly. It was followed by readings from the scriptures by Semester II and Semester IV students and a hymn sung by the Semester II students. Several students shared their reflections on the values and virtues imparted through Sr. Molly’s teachings and guidance. Additionally, two Semester II students recited a poem that expressed their best wishes and gratitude to Sr. Molly.

Various heartfelt messages for Sr. Molly from teachers and students were also displayed during the programme. After that, three Semester IV students danced to the Rabindra Sangeet “Chorono Dhorite Diyo Go Amare.” The culmination of the event saw all students coming together to express their gratitude to Sr. Molly by singing “Thanks To You” by Tyler Collins. The programme ended with Sr. Molly sharing the experience of her journey at Loreto College and in the Department of B.Ed.
