Doodle Art Competition

On April 29, 2024, the ICT Society of Loreto College, Kolkata hosted a Doodle Art competition, an engaging event that combined creativity and environmental consciousness. Participants were given 45 minutes to create a Google doodle, inspired by the theme of Earth Day and reflecting the spirit of Earth Week.

The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various departments, each bringing unique artistic interpretations to the table. The doodles were judged on creativity, relevance to the theme, and artistic execution.

Mahek Gupta, a Semester II student from the Department of Political Science, won the first prize for her exceptional doodle that brilliantly captured the essence of Earth Day. The second prize was awarded to Riya Bhaju, a Semester IV student from the Department of English, while Meenakshi Chatterjee, a Semester II student from the Department of Economics, secured the third prize.

The diverse and innovative doodles presented by the participants not only highlighted their artistic talents but also emphasised their commitment to environmental awareness. The Doodle Art competition was a resounding success, showcasing the creative potential of the students and their dedication to promoting sustainability.
