VidCraft

On April 22, 2024, the ICT Society of Loreto College, Kolkata organised VidCraft, a video-making competition that captured the imagination of students and highlighted the critical theme of “Effect of Technology on Climate Change.” Participants were tasked with creating a one-minute video that would showcase their understanding and perspectives on the theme and reflect their creative and technical prowess.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from various departments, with students utilising their diverse skills to present compelling narratives on how technology influences climate change. The entries were evaluated based on creativity, relevance to the theme, and technical execution.
Anshra Jahan, a Semester IV student from the BA General department, won the first prize for her outstanding video that stood out for its insightful analysis and innovative presentation.

The competition not only highlighted the students’ awareness of and concern for environmental issues but also demonstrated their ability to use technology as a medium for advocacy. The variety of ideas showcased made VidCraft a memorable and successful event, reinforcing the importance of environmental consciousness in today’s technological era.
