Interactive Career Counselling Session

The Department of Geography, Loreto College, Kolkata organised an Interactive Career Counselling Session on “Navigating Futures: Success in Entrance Examinations and Careers in Disaster Management” in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) on January 4, 2024.

The resource person was Ms. Aditi Kumari, Program Associate, Humanitarian Aid–Disaster Risk Reduction, Caritas India, New Delhi. Ms. Kumari is a professional handling complex tasks and challenges in diverse contexts with expertise in disaster management, humanitarian aid operations, and social development projects. She is an advocate for sustainable development and committed to bringing positive change through innovative solutions for resilient communities.

The objectives of the session were to provide guidance to the students regarding preparation for CUET PG (Common University Entrance Test Postgraduate) and to explore the various career options in the field of Disaster Management. At the end of the interactive session, the participants were able to comprehend the CUET exam structure and effective study strategies. The session also equipped them with the information necessary for making meaningful and informed career choices in the burgeoning discipline of Disaster Management.
