Awards and Investiture Ceremony 2023

Loreto College, Kolkata conducted its Annual Awards Ceremony and Student Council Investiture on December 16, 2023.

The proceedings commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, a prayer dance, and a prayer song. The Awards Ceremony acknowledged and applauded the exceptional achievements of students in both academic pursuits and co-curricular activities. This celebration of merit extended its honours to students from the graduating batches of 2022 and 2023, recognizing their unwavering dedication, contribution, and distinguished achievement. Professor Anuradha Lohia, the esteemed former Vice-Chancellor of Presidency University, graced the event as the Chief Guest. In her address, she encouraged the graduating students to pursue excellence and establish their unique identities in the professional realm. The first set of awards was presented by Prof. Lohia, while Sr. Beatrice, Community Leader of Loreto Residence and Council Member of the Province, presented the subsequent set of awards, encouraging and motivating each recipient.

After the conclusion of the Awards Ceremony, the Investiture Ceremony took place. The Student Council, led by the Student President and Vice President, took the oath of office, pledging their commitment to uphold the values and ideals of the College with utmost dedication and responsibility. The event served as a unifying platform, bringing together parents, guardians, faculty, and other stakeholders of Loreto College to collectively celebrate the achievements of the students and extend heartfelt wishes for their forthcoming journeys.
