Outreach Programme in collaboration with TCS YEP

Loreto College is committed to contributing to the upliftment of society. One such initiative led by the College has been the adoption of a Government Primary School, Baal Shiksha Sadan in 2018, located on Park Street. Students of the College visited the school twice a week to teach and talk to the students in a sincere attempt to motivate them and help bring about personal development.The visits had stopped in early 2020 as the pandemic descended upon us. We continued to extend support to these students of the primary classes by means of sharing books, stationery, packed food and clothes. With the gradual lifting of restrictions in interaction, volunteers from College were excited to resume association with the school. TCS-YEP boosted the students’ motivation and provided them the renewed opportunity for an innovative activity.On August 31, 2022 the students from Baal Shiksha Sadan were invited to Loreto College for a short programme. An interactive session on Pollution and its Impact was conducted by College TCS-YEP students with the help of a short video on the topic. The session was followed by a sit-and-draw activity. This meaningful event was both educative and engaging.
