Sports Day 2022

The Games Society of Loreto College, Kolkata organised Sports Day on March 25, 2022 for the students of the college. The event included students from the Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and B.Ed. programmes, the Women’s Cell, as well as the teachers. The aim of the event was to encourage physical activity among the students after two long years of restricted opportunities for outdoor exercise due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The event commenced with the Principal Sister Christine Coutinho declaring the Sports Day open. This was followed by a drill display. A number of races were organised, such as Flat Race, Sack Race, Lemon and Spoon Race, Balloon Bursting Race, Duck Walking Race, Balloon Balancing Race, and Relay Races. Student Council members had a Special Council Relay. Teachers actively participated in the Fast Walking and Lemon and Spoon Races. Off-field contests like Javelin Throw were also organised.
