Web Talk on Entrepreneurship- Entrepodium

The Department of Economics in collaboration with IQAC organized a Web Talk on Entrepreneurship, Entrepodium on November 12, 2021, at 3 p.m. The platform was Google Meet. The resource person for the Web Talk was Mr Pradipta Chatterjee, CEO and Principal Consultant, Icon Consultancy Services.

This initiative by the Department was to enkindle interest among the students about entrepreneurship and thereby pave the way for the emergence of future entrepreneurs. This initiative was able to add a new dimension to the teaching-learning in the department by transcending the curricular study and in a way complementing it by expanding the scope for its application in the field of job creation rather than job-seeking merely. The introductory speech was delivered by Dr Rupa Ghosh. The resource person reflected on the characteristics of an entrepreneur and shared a video to understand the qualities required to become a successful entrepreneur. He highlighted the sustainable development goals to explain how one can choose an area to manage and develop a successful venture. The students actively participated in the interactive session. It was an enriching experience for them.
