An Interactive Session on CUET-PG
Loreto College, Kolkata organised a session on the Fundamentals of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-PG) on February 20, 2025. The resource person was Ms. Ananya Sarkar, NTA-JRF awardee; doctoral scholar at the Centre for English Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University; and an alumna of Loreto College. The main purpose of the session was to enlighten the students about various practical strategies that would help them crack the CUET 2025 exam. Ms. Sarkar shared tips for acing the CUET-PG exam, emphasising confidence, thorough revision, PYQ practice, and YouTube resources.
Ms. Sarkar's presentation shed light on the significance, structure, and overall pattern of the CUET. She provided students with a clear understanding of the structure of CUET, including subjects covered, question paper formats, and scoring criteria. She also offered detailed guidance on the preparation and admission process, offering valuable insights through an account of her personal experience. A brief outline of the various difficulties pertaining to preparation and their solutions were also discussed. Ms. Sarkar clarified the post-exam process, explaining that students must apply to universities individually after scorecard release, with admissions being granted based on cutoff scores.
The second half of the session was an interactive discussion, providing students with an opportunity to pose their doubts and queries. The session served as an important platform for interaction, facilitating a deeper understanding of the CUET-PG among the students and boosting their confidence.
