Farewell Programme for Mrs. Sharmila Ray Kumam

Mrs. Sharmila Ray Kumam, Associate Professor, Department of Geography retired on November 30, 2024 after 35 remarkable years of dedicated service at Loreto College, Kolkata. The college organised a farewell programme and a special lunch in her honour on December 2, 2024. The faculty, staff, former teachers, and students of the institution were invited to attend the programme and share their reminiscences of their colleague, friend, and mentor.

A departmental programme was also organised to bid farewell to Mrs. Kumam on November 30, 2024. It was attended not only by the current students of the Department of Geography but also by more than 60 alumnae, many of whom were students of the last millennium. They cherished the lessons taught and shared fond memories of their association with Mrs. Kumam.
