The Debating Society believes that to master the art of speaking is to master the art of life. The society holds training sessions and workshops for its members. Discussions and debates are regularly held throughout the academic year, both at the intra-college and inter-college levels. The most prestigious annual event organized by the Debating Society is the Damayanti Shield Debate, held during SAMAGAM. The shield was instituted in memory of the late Damayanti Sabherwal, a student of the college, by her family. Another important event organized by the Debating Society during SAMAGAM is the elocution contest. The Debating Society sends representatives to participate in competitive events held outside the college. In 2002, the college team won second place in the inter-institutional debate organized by the Anti-Pollution Society of India.
