Women's Entrepreneurship Day

The Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education (MGNCRE) Cell of Loreto College, Kolkata in collaboration with the National Service Scheme (NSS) Society organized the second Exhibition-cum-Sale of handmade items by students on November 17, 2022 within the college premises to celebrate Women’s Entrepreneurship Day (November 19, 2022). The event was also part of an attempt to observe Mahatma Gandhi National Entrepreneurship Month (October 20 – November 19, 2022). The undergraduate students of the college prepared and displayed a variety of striking products, including handmade greeting cards, bookmarks, jewellery, resin art, tote bags, and paper dolls. Students, teachers, and the non-teaching staff of the college visited each of the stalls in large numbers to encourage and patronize the efforts of the students. The event succeeded in promoting and empowering entrepreneurial activities spearheaded by women in the true spirit of Women’s Entrepreneurship Day and motivated the students to work towards the expansion of their ventures in the future.
