IGNITION 2023-24

The Department of Economics in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) hosted its inter-year quiz competition known as IGNITION for the academic session 2023-2024 on October 8, 2023. Three teams, A, B, and C, competed; each team was made up of two students from the third, second, and first years, who qualified an elementary pen and paper round. The quiz consisted of two final rounds, the first of which measured students' general economic and financial awareness under the direction of Mr. Nilavo Roy, a faculty member of the department. The second round was a rapid fire round conducted by another department faculty, Mr. Mainak Bhattacherjee, in which the questions were based on recent economic events and policies. Team C comprising of Vanshika Agarwal and Meenakshi Chatterjee, bagged the first prize in this competition.
