Workshop on AKASA Storytelling and Performance

Loreto College, in collaboration with Culture Monks, Kolkata and Alliance Francaise du Bengale, organised a transformative workshop on Akasa Storytelling and Performance. This workshop, based on Indian aesthetic practices, particularly Natyashastra and folk theatre methods, coupled with contemporary western performance theories and practices, aimed to help the attendees find their inner transformation and create an emotional connection with the audience.

The workshop was attended by 29 students from the Dramatics Society, starting from November 19 and concluding on December 19, 2022. The attendees showcased their learnings through spectacular performances at the end of the workshop. Two of the students, Rayna Mukherjee and Oindrila Ghosh further participated at the Alliance Evening of Stories 2022 hosted by the Alliance Francaise du Bengale on January 7, 2023.
