Webinar: Gender Equity in Higher Educational Institutions

On August 26, 2022, the third year students of Loreto College participated with enthusiasm in an insightful and informative webinar conducted by Nirmala College, Ranchi (Loreto College has an MoU with Nirmala College) on Gender Equity in Higher Educational Institutions. The speaker was Dr Debjani Roy, Head P.G. Department of Geography, Nirmala College. During the webinar, Dr Roy discussed the concept of unity of nations in education and the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. She also highlighted the difference between equity and equality and provided the students with directions on how to pursue equal opportunities in society. Additionally, she emphasized the importance of gender in higher educational institutions. She even took the time to interact with all the students, answering their questions and clearing any doubts they may have had. The webinar was attended by students of several colleges such as Little Flower College, Hyderabad, Salesian College and Nirmala College itself, via Zoom.
