Interdisciplinary Book Club on Amartya Sen's Human Development Ideas

The Library Society organized an inter-disciplinary book club on November 10, 2022. Students from different departments participated in a captivating discussion based on the theme Humane Face of Economics: The 'Sen' Way.
November being the birth month of the Nobel Laureate Economist Amartya Sen, the society flagged off the interdisciplinary book club as a forum for discourse on Prof. Sen's scholarly contributions to the cause of human development. As students from different disciplines exchanged invaluable insights on a wide array of issues delineated in the works of Sen in the presence of the Staff advisors, the objectives of facilitating students' critical thinking abilities and fostering research interests beyond curriculum saw to their fruition.
