The Department of Economics in collaboration with IQAC organized an online inter-year essay competition in March on ‘Crypto Currency and its Prospects for India’. This is an annual event of the department. The objective of the event is to encourage students to reflect their ideas and perceptions on some glaring contemporary issue of economic significance and implication. The students were able to develop theoretical knowledge into practical acumen required to discern real-life economics in an effective manner. The judges for the event were Ms. Dipanjana Roy (Assistant Manager, Citibank, North America) Ms. Sangya Bacchawat (Senior Associate, PwC) and Ms. Navnidhi Begwani (Assistant Manager, Forensic International, Deloitte). All three are former students of the department. The winners were Anushka Dassani (Sem 4), Harsha Kalbalia (Sem 6) and Tiyasha Mukherjee (Sem 2).
