Jhankar by Eastern Cultural Society

The Eastern Cultural Society of Loreto College hosted an online singing and dance competition - ‘Jhankar’ in the month of May. The purpose of this event was to encourage students and induce hope and optimism during these dire times. The participants were instructed to mail their entries to the official email address of Eastern Cultural Society by 17th May, 2020. The song or dance performances had to be based on the broad theme of ‘Hope’. The performances were judged by Dr Subhasree Basu and Prof. Nilavo Roy.

Labonya Chaudhuri (Political Science hons, 2nd Year) - 1st position

Auhona Roy Chowdhury (English hons, 1st Year) - 2nd position

Ankita Biswas (Political Science hons, 2nd Year) - 3rd position
