Ongoing Bicentenary Birth Anniversary (2020-2021): A Tribute to the "Ocean of Knowledge"- Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar


The Departments of Education and B.Ed organized a programme A Tribute to the "Ocean of Knowledge" commemorating the ongoing Bicentenary Birth Anniversary (2020-2021) of Pandit Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar in association with Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Loreto College July 19, 2021. Remembering him on his bicentenary birth anniversary, we paid our sincere tribute to this key educational and social reformer of India. We believe that the only tribute worthy of Vidyasagar's diligent pursuit for justice and reform in a bygone era would be a commitment to his progressive ideas on knowledge, religion, and justice. The objective was to awaken among the students the true spirit of humanitarianism and persistence to address social and educational issues. Students from the Departments of Education and B. Ed, Loreto College, Kolkata paid their tribute through PowerPoint presentations both in English and Bengali and through a Video Presentation.
