Department of B.Ed. Social Awareness Campaign on Electoral Rights

The Department of B.Ed, Loreto College, Kolkata in collaboration with Our Lady Queen of the Missions School, Salt Lake, Kolkata organised a virtual social awareness campaign on 'Awareness of Electoral Rights' for the students of class XI of the school. The campaign was conducted by B.Ed. trainees over Google meet on 29th May 2021. The programme began with a prayer service conducted by the school. After the prayer service the teacher trainees of the Department of B.Ed, Loreto College, addressed the students on the legacy of democracy in our country and various aspects of the Indian electoral process. The campaign focused on the positive aspects of the voting system, the malpractices, fundamental rights and duties of citizens of India and an awareness of electoral rights. An extremely fruitful interactive session followed between the B.Ed. trainees and the school students.
