History Department Web-Talk on 20th August 2020

The Department of History with the support of IQAC, Loreto College Kolkata organized a virtual web-talk on 20 August 2020 between 3 and 4 p.m. The subject of the talk was ‘Indian Heritage and Cultural Tourism: Challenges with Focus on Telangana”. It was delivered by Ms Madhu Vottery, conservation architect and heritage professional. The talk was extremely lucid and provided a historical background of Telangana followed by the current challenges facing cultural tourism in the state. It was a visually rich presentation. Ms Vottery also showed an app which she has designed on Hyderabad and encouraged the students to download and explore it. All in all it was a learning experience for the department students of Semester 3 and Semester 5 who attended the session.
