Session on Energy Conservation and Energy Efficiency

A Session on Energy Conservation and Energy Efficiency was organised by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell of Loreto College on February 8th, 2024. The session was conducted by Mr. Sushanta Roy, faculty of Indian Oil Corporation Limited, a Government of India Enterprise under Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. The session addressed global energy trends, the current status in different countries, and the adoption of sustainable energy practices. A plethora of strategies were explored offering practical solutions for conserving energy effectively. Insightful case studies were cited from diverse countries illustrating successful energy-saving projects and their tangible benefits. It focused on the prudent use of energy to mitigate environmental risks.

The session was informative and enlightening and ended with a quiz designed to assess participant's comprehension of key concepts and strategies discussed during the session and to reinforce learning. Certificates were distributed to participants of quiz as a token appreciation. The students were equipped with valuable insights and inspired to contribute towards a more sustainable energy in future.
