Department of B.Ed.: Painting Competition

The Department of B.Ed., Loreto College, Kolkata organized painting competitions on the theme “Nature, Landscape, Portraits, and Still Life” across four schools in Kolkata in the months of October and November to celebrate Bharatiya Bhasha Utsav.

Over 250 students from classes 6 and 7 participated in the painting competitions organized and conducted by the B.Ed. trainees at Loreto Day School, Elliot Road (October 16), St. Paul’s Boarding and Day School (October 17), Loreto Day School, Sealdah (October 18), and St. Thomas Girls’ School (November 6).

Various mediums were used by the students to create works of art on a wide range of topics and subjects. The competition was an opportunity for them to showcase their creativity and imagination and highlight their talents and hard work beyond the domain of academics. Students who won the first, second, and third positions received bookmarks as prizes.
