Session with Dr. Law of California State University, East Bay

Loreto College students were privileged to engage with Dr Sweety Law, who holds a tenured Full Professorship at California State University East Bay, one of the 23 California State University campuses on May 31, 2023. The topic of her presentation was The Changing Landscape of Higher Education in the US. In her presentation she stressed on the importance of research in all disciplines and highlighted the need to hone one's research skills to prepare for higher studies. In addition, she proposed that students consider taking online courses on research analytical tools from trusted companies such as Microsoft, Google, or LinkedIn. The session was highly informative.

Dr Law visited Loreto College in memory of her sister, Ms Lina Law, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science and a former student of the College, whom we lost to cancer several years ago.
