Collaboration with IIM-Shillong

The Loreto College Alumnae Association facilitated a Bootcamp- Certificate Course on Career Aspirants & Decision-making conducted by IIM Shillong for 76 past and present students of Loreto College Kolkata from February 25 to March 6, 2022. This course was designed as a capsule of the different dimensions of management. This initiative was immensely insightful and helped in changing the perceptions of the participants as they were mostly from the liberal arts and social science background. Today, after the completion of the course, many of the participants are even considering a career in the field of Management.

The Loreto College Alumnae Association along with the College jointly hosted the Investiture Ceremony on March 21, 2022 in the College Hall where the Director of IIM Shillong MR D P Goyal was present to give away the certificates. There were about 250 people present, both online and offline comprising students, parents, staff members of the college and alumnae. IIM Shillong hopes to make an annual event where a few students will be invited to Shillong for a short duration on-campus learning experience.
