"Know Your ICC" - Internal Complaints Committee

As the annual event conducted every year, since its inception, the Internal Complaints Committee of the college had organized an awareness programme for the first-year students titled "Know Your ICC" on July 17, 2021 at 3 p.m. This programme is predominantly about apprising the students of the functions and mode of operation of the ICC. The ICC (composed vide UGC’s directives,) is a redressal mechanism body that receives, processes and redresses any complaint that might come any student, teacher, non-teaching staff of the college. The Know Your ICC programme informs and makes the students and the staff about how they are rightfully protected and redressed if they face any untoward incident of gender-based violence or sexual harassment in college.

The programme witnessed an overwhelming participation from the students as well as the teaching and non-teaching staff of the college. Very thought-provoking questions and interactions followed which made the discussions animated and interesting. ICC’s helpline being available for everyone for any kind of POSH related complaints is a good way to assure the students of their rights, safety and physical and mental well-being, which are the primary foci of the college.
