Farewell to Shri Martin Sarkar

The college bade farewell to Shri Martin Sarkar on November 28, 2020, in the midst of the Pandemic, Second and Fourth Semester Examinations. Shri Martin served the college since 1989, working in different capacities and finally retiring as Peon. At the gathering to bid Shri Martin farewell, were Sisters of the Loreto Community along with the Non-teaching staff. An Eucharist for his intentions, in St. Thomas' Church, where Shri Martin prayed every day, and another in the Loreto House Community Chapel on the day of his retirement where his favourite hymns were sung will stand out in his memory.

The Non-teaching staff partook of a fellowship meal with the Loreto Sisters preceding which anecdotes of Martin's interactions with the staff and students were recounted and presentations of a momento and a plant were made. We wish Shri Sarkar a long, happy and healthy retired life and blessings along his journey henceforth. Farewell, Shri Martin Sarkar!
