Department of B.Ed.: Essay-Writing competition on 'Language and its Importance'

On November 29, 2023, the Semester I trainees of the Department of B.Ed. at Loreto College, Kolkata celebrated Bharatiya Bhasha Utsav by organizing and participating in an essay-writing competition on the topic ‘Language and its importance.’ The event aimed to foster awareness of and appreciation for linguistic diversity among the students. Shreyashi Banerjee won the first position, while Shinjini Chattopaadhyaay secured the second position. The third position was jointly awarded to Anwesha Nag and Susmita Barat. The participants showcased their perspectives on the significance of language in various aspects of life, highlighting its cultural and communicative roles. The competition was a vibrant celebration of linguistic heritage and its integral role in education.
