B.ED. Celebration of Swachhta Pakhwada Special Campaign 3.0

The second-year students of the Department of B.Ed., Loreto College, Kolkata took two pledges on September 29, 2023 in acknowledgement of the importance and relevance of ‘Panch Pran’ and ‘Swachhta’ in India.

The Panch Pran pledge was read out by Pubali Bhattacharya, who was joined by the students of the department. The pledge urged the citizens of India to take pride in their traditions, to dedicate themselves to preserving the unity and integrity of the nation, to imbibe and uphold a sense of duty in their actions, to erase all traces of mental servitude, and to commit themselves to the cause of national development.

The Swachhta Pledge, which was led by Sampriti Barua, emphasized that it was the duty of every citizen of India to keep their country neat and clean and to devote at least 100 hours of voluntary service per year to this collective effort, so that the vision of ‘Swachh Bharat’ may be realized.

As part of the Special Campaign 3.0 on Swachhta, the students of the B.Ed. Department conducted a thorough cleaning of the B.Ed. classrooms, the geography lab, and the computer labs in Loreto College on October 6, 2023. The tasks were completed in keeping with the two pledges taken by the students earlier and reinforced their sense of commitment to their institution and their nation.
