SAMAGAM 2023

The annual inter-college fest organized by Loreto College, SAMAGAM was held over two days- March 30 and 31, 2023 after a three-year hiatus due to the pandemic. This year’s theme was close to the heart and reflected the very essence and purpose of SAMAGAM- synergy. The intention was to remind ourselves that together, as a collective we can create something more significant and beautiful than our individual efforts. Bringing together students from across the city and offering them a platform to showcase their talents and participate in a spirit of healthy competition was a reminder to celebrate the bonhomie and strength of the collective. Events organized by each society, reflected the theme of SAMAGAM interpreted mindfully and creatively. On stage, off-stage and sporting events were spread over two days which culminated with a Guest Performance. Participating colleges included Shri Shikshayatan College, Presidency University, Bethune College, Scottish Church College and St. Xavier’s University. Over 20 plus events saw extensive participation from students across institutions. Loreto College won the SAMAGAM shield but as per tradition the shield was handed to the runners- up, this year the runners-up were St. Xaviers College, Kolkata. In spite of the lack of organizational experience, the Student Council rose to the occasion to pull off a memorable SAMAGAM.
