National Pollution Prevention Day

The Department of Economics in collaboration with Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) observed National Pollution Prevention Day on December 2, 2022. The two-hour long programme began with a special talk by Dr. Kalyan Rudra, Chairman, West Bengal Pollution Control Board (WBPCB), on Environmental Sustainability and Global Economic Order: Rethinking Pollution Prevention. The third year students from all the departments of the college had an enriching experience as they attended Dr Rudra's informative deliberations on issues and concerns related to Air Quality Management in West Bengal. The offline event which was live streamed to the students of the colleges which signed MoUs with Loreto College, featured poster presentations by the Economics Honours students of Loreto college.
