On October 2, 2021 the students of the College marked the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri who was born on the same date thirty-five years after the Father of the Nation. The theme for this year was Peace and Harmony. The students honoured the contributions of Gandhi and Shastri by putting up a cultural programme to pay homage to their ideologies, struggles and sacrifices. Dance recitals paid tribute to the Father of the Nation and Shastri. A skit highlighted the ideals envisioned by Gandhiji and concluded with the hope that his idea of an India marked by tolerance and compassion towards all could be achieved in the future. The influence of Gandhiji on Shastri, the second Prime Minister of India was dwelt upon while highlighting the path breaking measures undertaken during his short tenure in office.
