Interactive Session with Adam Foulds on February 06, 2015
On 6th February, 2015 the department of English, Loreto College organized the visit of Adam Foulds, a British novelist and poet thanks to collaboration with the British Council.
The event began with Dr. Mridula Kapoor, Head of the Department of English welcoming the special guest. Foulds’s noted works are a narrative poem entitled “The Broken Word” and “The Quickening Haze”, a novel. Adam Foulds is the winner of Sunday Times Young Writer of the Year Award, European Union Prize for Literature and Somerset Maugham Award.
Foulds enlightened the students with poets and authors whom he drew inspiration from. He observed that it was John Keats who primarily provided the fillip for him to compose poems. In interactive session that followed students spoke about their interests in the field of literature. Foulds responded to questions of the pupils with utmost care and attention.
