The K. N. Jain Memorial Gold Medal was instituted by late Mrs. Bimla Jain in memory of her husband Mr. K. N. Jain. The award ceremony of Loreto College, Kolkata began with the institution of this medal in 1975. Mrs. Jain whose three daughters were students of this college, valued women's education and wished to recognize and encourage merit. This medal, which marked the beginning of prize distribution in the college, is awarded for Academic Excellence, Good Conduct and Outstanding Contribution to College Life. View winners

The Enid La Fond Medal and Scholarship was instituted by Mrs. De Tristan in memory of her mother who successfully graduated from Loreto College in 1928, in spite of difficult circumstances. The prize is awarded to a Third Year student for good academic performance, responsible participation in co-curricular activity and consistent effort to maintain a high standard in college and for whom hardships have not as worked as a deterrent to her commitments.
