School Adoption

On September 4, 2019, the NSS Society adopted a primary school Bal Siksha Sadan in Stephens Court, Park Street, Kolkata. This school is within a 100 metres of the College campus. Volunteers from the Society regularly visit the school to teach students of classes II and III and. This initiative has been regularized with volunteers going to the school once a week during the course of the academic calendar. Volunteers teach the students basic english and mathematics. General knowledge is also incorporated into the lessons to give the students a more holistic learning experience. The method of teaching followed, is highly interactive; word games and brain teasers are employed as tools to keep the students interested
