Pictionary
The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Society held their first event of the academic year 2024–25 on November 11, 2024. The event was a game of Pictionary where teams of two participated, with one participant drawing on the board and the other guessing what their teammate was drawing. 12 teams from all three undergraduate batches came forward to battle it out. The event consisted of three rounds. In the first round, which was the elimination round, each team had two minutes to guess as many words as they could, all related to the themes of technology and science fiction. Some of the teams guessed as many as 9 words, but only 5 teams qualified for the next round. After an engaging interval featuring an audience round, the participants proceeded to the second Disney-themed round, where teams had to guess a Disney character as quickly as possible. 2 of the 5 teams qualified for the finals by very fine margins. The finalists then went head to head in a showdown round on the theme of pop culture. Sriparna Das and Sananda Dey (Department of English, Semester III) excelled with their impeccable drawing, coordination, and rapid guesses and were crowned the winners of the competition. Meghna Chakroborty (Department of Geography, Semester I) and Sanjukta Bairagi (Department of English, Semester I) secured the second position.
