NSS Clean-up Drive and Awareness Campaign

The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of Loreto College, Kolkata organised a Clean-up drive and awareness campaign at Bal Shiksha Sadan Primary School on September 25, 2024. 10 NSS volunteers spread bleaching powder in and around the area where the drive was conducted. They also addressed an audience of 25 school students of varying ages about the importance of health and hygiene. The children were taught how to maintain good hygiene and cleanliness in and around their homes and schools. Both the drive and the awareness campaign gave the volunteers an opportunity to educate the young on the ill effects of littering and the importance of keeping public and private spaces clean and healthy.
