July Book Club 2024

A book club discussion was organised by the Library Society of Loreto College, Kolkata on July 11, 2024. The event saw the participation of 18 students from different departments. Based on the theme ‘Mockingbirds,’ the students were encouraged to discuss children’s literature, their childhood memories, favourite fictional characters, and everything that reminded them of their childhood. The book club aimed to foster creativity and facilitate the exchange of ideas while encouraging the students to keep their inner child alive. Book marks were distributed to all those who participated. The event concluded with book suggestions for further exploration and is expected to inculcate a regular habit of reading among the participants.
