Farewell Programme for Sr. Antoinette



On May 14, 2024, the members of the All India Catholic University Federation (AICUF) Society of Loreto College, Kolkata organised a special farewell programme to honour their beloved staff advisor, Sr. Antoinette Rodrigues. The Acting Teacher-in-Charge Sr. Dr. A. Nirmala, faculty members, and students of the college gathered to bid her adieu.

The programme began with a prayer service and readings from the Holy Bible, the Bhagavad Gita, and the Holy Quran. This was followed by a special cultural programme dedicated to Sr. Antoinette. Dance and musical performances by SPICMACAY and Western Cultural Society movingly captured the emotional cycle of life. Several students shared their fond memories of interacting with Sr. Antoinette, affirming her deep impact on their lives.

A beautiful video presentation was screened at the gathering, showcasing a montage of photos from various events and activities that captured Sr. Antoinette’s journey with the AICUF and Library Societies. The video also included clips of staff members and students delivering short messages to Sr. Antoinette to express their gratitude and best wishes. The programme ended with Sr. Antoinette sharing snippets of her past experiences through lively anecdotes and thanking every member of the Loreto family who accompanied her on this journey.
