Treasure Hunt

The All India Catholic University Federation (AICUF) Society of Loreto College, Kolkata hosted a Bible-themed Treasure Hunt on April 19, 2024. The objectives were to promote teamwork and collaboration among members, encourage the exploration of biblical knowledge, create a fun and interactive learning experience, and reinforce biblical themes and stories. The hunt route and clues were carefully designed, incorporating locations around the college and referencing the chosen biblical theme. Clues were crafted to test participants’ knowledge of the Bible stories, requiring interpretation, recall, and creative problem-solving.

On the day of the event, the participants were divided into four teams. The first clue was distributed, and the hunt began. Participants followed the clues, navigating the college grounds and solving puzzles related to the biblical theme. Envelopes were placed in different locations to provide assistance with biblical references or riddles. The treasure hunt was a success, with 32 participants actively engaged in the problem-solving and learning process. The importance of teamwork was evident throughout the competition, along with knowledge of the Bible.

Samyukta Shaju (Department of Psychology, Semester VI), Amida Moorthy (Department of Psychology, Semester VI), Sr. Sheetal Tirkey (Department of Geography, Semester IV), Gemma Salvador (Department of Education, Semester IV), Sharen Bhaju (Department of Education, Semester IV), and Suzanna Young (Department of Education, Semester IV) constituted the team that won the first prize.
