Ecolore '24

The 10th edition of the annual academic fest of the Department of Economics, Loreto College, Kolkata, ECOLORE 24, was organized on May 28 where young minds from various esteemed colleges of Kolkata showcased their reflections on the theme "Economic Growth and Distributive Justice: Perspectives for a Changing World".
Inaugurated with a welcome address by Teacher-in-Charge, Sr. (Dr.) A. Nirmala, the programme got its real tune set through a nuanced keynote address by Prof. Soumyen Sikdar, Ex-Professor, Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. The fest constituted three engaging events a paper presentation, namely, "Pitch the Plight", a debate competition, namely, "Words over Swords" and an essay-writing competition, namely “Tract on Track". Other than the host college bagging the Best College Award, students from invited colleges, like Lady Brabourne College, Scottish Church College and Ashutosh College, made their mark remarkably in all three events.
